DentalMonitoring (DM) is a remote assistant for tracking your braces/aligners treatment. It does this using the DentalMonitoring app and ScanBox^pro to take pictures of your teeth. The app, downloaded into your phone uses time-lapse technology to show you how your teeth have been moving towards your goal and also helps your orthodontist tack your treatment plan.

How Does DentalMonitoring Work?

Before you can use DentalMonitoring, you need first, to get clearance from your doctor. This happens during an in-person appointment. 

At the appointment, your doctor will provide you with the necessary instructions on how to use the ScanBox^pro and the DM app.

Once you have the tools in your possession, the next thing is to start using them.

How?

By taking pictures of your teeth. You do that using ScanBox^pro and send them to your orthodontist through the app. 

Note that the frequency of photos taken should be as your doctor recommends. 

Once your doctor receives the photos via the DM app, they will use it to review your treatment and see whether or not you are on track. If you are on track, there would be no need for a visit to your orthodontist but if you’re not, they can schedule an appointment for you. 

Over time, you can monitor the progress of your treatment using the timelapse technology on the app that shows how your teeth are moving towards your goal.
